AWARDS AT ISC 2027
ISC High Performance bestows awards annually to recognize research excellence by individuals and research groups from the global HPC, AI, and quantum computing communities.
JACK DONGARRA EARLY CAREER AWARD
An annual award honoring outstanding early-career contributions in HPC, commemorating Professor Jack Dongarra.
The award includes a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of € 5,000.
HANS MEUER AWARD
Recognizing the best research paper at ISC, the award honors Dr. Hans Meuer, former ISC chair and co-founder of the TOP500 project.
The Award includes a certificate and a cash prize of € 3,000.
BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD
Honors the most outstanding student research paper presented at ISC.
The award includes a cash prize of € 1,000, kindly sponsored by Jeff Hammond.
RESEARCH POSTER AWARD
Recognizes the most outstanding research posters presented at ISC.
Sponsored by Elsevier, the award includes cash prizes of €500 for first place, €300 for second place, and €200 for third place.
ISC 2026 WINNERS
JACK DONGARRA EARLY CAREER AWARD
Devesh Tiwari of Northeastern University, USA, has been selected as the recipient of the ISC 2026 Jack Dongarra Early Career Award.
The award committee recognizes his contributions to advancing sustainable high performance computing and to developing post-Moore computing systems, including hybrid quantum-classical high performance computing.
HANS MEUER AWARD
The paper selected as the winner of the ISC 2026 Hans Meuer Award is:
PICO: Performance Insights for Collective Operations
Authored by Saverio Pasqualoni from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and Sapienza University of Rome, Tommaso Bonato and Torsten Hoefler from ETH Zürich, Lorenzo Piarulli and Daniele De Sensi from Sapienza University of Rome, and Marco Canini from KAUST.
BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD
The paper selected as the winner of the ISC 2026 Best Student Paper Award is:
