HAMBURG, Germany, June 18 – We are pleased to announce that ISC 2025 concluded last week as the largest event in the ISC High Performance conference series. Under the theme “Connecting the Dots,” 3,585 attendees and 195 exhibitors from 54 countries and seven continents gathered in Hamburg, setting a new attendance record in the event’s 40-year history.
Held from June 10 to 13, ISC 2025 was a comprehensive conference and exhibition on high performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing (QC), and emerging technologies. The conference featured three keynotes, multiple invited talks, panel discussions, birds of a feather sessions, workshops, and tutorials – all centered around ISC’s seven topic areas, reflecting on the evolving landscape of HPC and its intersections with AI and QC technologies.
Out of the 195 exhibitors, ISC witnessed a rise in AI and QC displays, with 70 exhibitors showcasing AI products and services. They included both prominent names and more specialized providers, as well as HPC-powered research organizations that have integrated AI technology into their missions. More than a dozen exhibitors showcased QC hardware, software, and services. Alongside the vendors, several HPC research centers offering open-source software and collaboration opportunities for companies aiming to develop products and services using QC technologies were also present at the exhibition.
Global Participation and Sector Representation
ISC 2025 attracted a diverse range of attendees, with the largest group coming from Germany, comprising 1,060 individuals. The U.S. followed with 484 attendees, the U.K. contributed 372 participants, while France and Japan had 184 and 156 attendees, respectively. Notably, 56 percent of the total participants hailed from 27 EU countries. This attendance highlights ISC as a significant gathering for the European scientific and business communities interested in fostering valuable connections and discussions in these three significant fields of technology.
Registration statistics also indicate that 41 percent of attendees were from academic and research institutions, 32 percent were hardware and software vendors, and more than 25 percent were mainly from vertical market segments.
Free Video Library and Open Access
The entire ISC Invited Program, which was recorded during ISC is now available as an on-demand library for the broader research community. To access them, you will need to register first.
All research papers accepted by the committee for presentation at ISC have now been published in IEEE Xplore® as open-access proceedings. This reinforces ISC’s commitment to making HPC research available and accessible to the broader research community. One can also find all research papers listed on the ISC event app (Swapcard), along with videos of each speaker presenting their paper, discussing the challenges they address, and outlining their proposed solutions. Finally, we are also pleased to share our impressions of ISC 2025 in photos. If you wish to use any of the images, please get in touch with us for approval.
