ISC HIGH PERFORMANCE

CODE OF CONDUCT

PURPOSE AND COMMITMENT

ISC High Performance is dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. We are committed to ensuring that everyone – regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical appearance, nationality, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability, or technology choices – can participate fully and free from harassment or discrimination.

We are a professional event that brings together high performance computing professionals from around the world to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and expand their networks. We value and respect every individual, regardless of background.

All participants, including attendees, speakers, exhibitors, staff, and volunteers, are expected to conduct themselves professionally, with integrity, and with courtesy throughout the conference and its associated events.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat all individuals with respect and kindness.
  • Engage in professional and constructive communication.
  • Respect differences of opinion, experience, and background.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Comply with venue rules and event policies.

All forms of communication and behavior should be professional and appropriate. We ask that participants avoid partisan or inflammatory political displays (including symbols) so that our focus remains on open technical exchange and collaboration.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated:
  • Harassment Harassment involves behavior that violates a person’s dignity. This behavior creates an environment that is intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive to someone. It can be expressed verbally, non-verbally, or physically. The main factor in identifying harassment is its effect, not the intent behind the actions. Source: Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency, Germany – 2025 or discrimination of any kind.
  • Offensive verbal comments, imagery, or gestures related to personal characteristics.
  • Intimidation, stalking, or sustained disruption of talks or events.
