Abstract: |
|
The High Performance Conjugate Gradients (HPCG) Benchmark is an emerging community metric for ranking high performance computing systems. Results are announced twice a year, at ISC and SC. The first list of results was released at ISC'14 with 15 entries, the most recent list at SC16 had more than 100 entries, including most of the top 50 platforms.
In this BOF we first present an update of HPCG, to version 3.1, and opportunities for optimizing performance and follow with presentations from vendors who have participated in HPCG optimization efforts. We spend the remaining time in open discussion about the future of HPCG design and implementation strategies for further improvements.
Targeted Audience This BOF will be valuable to any HPC community member who is interested in benchmarking and how the HPCG benchmark can be used to obtain understanding about large-scale system performance. We also plan to announce the top three systems in the HPCG Benchmark rankings. |
