The Exascale era poses challenges in several aspects, from the achievement of the expected performance in the given power envelope to the scalability of the applications in these extremely large systems. One of the questions of the research community is if the programming models will be able to offer the required interfaces to support the application development together with efficient runtimes that enable sufficient scalability. The session is organized with three presentations from representatives of three main programming models that will describe how their models approach these challenges.
