Sarah NeuwirthResearch Associate, Computer Architecture Group, University of Heidelberg
Sarah Neuwirth is a research staff member at the Institute of Computer Engineering, University of Heidelberg. She has worked on the communication protocol design for the Extoll interconnect, which was used in the European exascale research project DEEP. In 2015, she established a research cooperation with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Together with the Technology Integration Group at NCCS/ORNL, she researches and develops I/O libraries, e.g., BPIO, a balanced I/O placement library to achieve an optimal storage target utilization. Her research interests include interconnect technologies, parallel file systems, communication protocols, and Linux kernel-level development. Sarah Neuwirth holds a master degree (Dipl.-Inf.) in computer science from the University of Mannheim and is a PhD candidate in computer engineering at the University of Heidelberg (graduation expected in 2017). She is a member of the Supercomputing Conference (SC) planning committee. |
